Bikes for Kids Assembly Party- Nov. 4, 2017

It’s that time of year again!  You + 400 kids bikes built + delivery to Christmas Mothers’ warehouses = holiday joy and happiness for many families and their children!

Our first task is to put together the bikes and we hope that you can volunteer:

What:  Bikes for Kids Assembly

When:  Saturday, Nov 4, at 9 AM to 12 Noonish

Where:  EnTrust Records Management warehouse, in the City of Richmond, across the street from Virginia Food Bank, on Rhoadmiller St.  Exact warehouse where bikes are being stored will be announced soon.

What to bring:  If you have bike tools, like wrenches, pliers, rubber mallets, 4-5-6-8 mm allen wrenches, etc. that would be helpful to bring.  You may want to bring a pair of light work gloves as we will have some volunteers breaking down boxes and other very light hauling, including moving bikes around.
**Special request** – we need 3-5 electr ic air compressors to fill hundreds of tires – if you have one, please bring one!

Other details:  We will be ordering pizza and having some drinks for lunch time – if you would like to participate, please bring $5 cash or check.  Please wear comfortable shoes as we will be standing around for a few hours.  Also, the warehouse does not have air conditioning or heat, so please check the weather forecast for 11/4 and dress accordingly.

RSVP deadline:  In order to help with the pizza order and have a record of the volunteers so that we can recognize them afterwards, please register by Friday, 11/3, at this link:
