DC Bike Ride 2017

DC Bike Ride, the region's premier scenic urban bike ride, invites your members to cruise through the District on May 14 as part of ongoing National Bike Month celebrations.

Make the drive to D.C. for the perfect family-friendly activity on Mother's Day. DC Bike Ride offers a unique, recreational car-free tour of our nation's capital. Riders will pedal by some of the capital's most-recognizable sites, including the Washington Monument, the White House and the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts. Participants will conclude their journey with a post-ride celebration on Pennsylvania Avenue near the United States Capitol. (The 2017 course can be found at

Greenbrier River Trail Bike Trek

Greenbrier River Trail State Park, Marlinton, WV

May 18 - 21, 2017

This year we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary! Join us for a 3-day, 100-mile ride on the Greenbrier River Trail. Cyclists with varying levels of experience are invited. All meals, lodging and transportation included, as well as sag service, medics and mechanics.

There is a non-refundable registration fee and riders are required to raise $500 in pledges. Funds raised will benefit the American Lung Association in West Virginia to support its mission to save lives by improving lung health and preventing lung disease through research, advocacy and education.

This year's event will be held at Greenbrier River Trail State Park.

The 6th Annual 2017 Broadcreek Bike and Brew

Laurel, Delaware

June 3, 2017 (Saturday)

All routes start and end in Laurel Delaware. Choose from a 15-mile, 25-mile, 50-mile, Metric or Century route. Completion of the ride is optional. Designated rest stops with restrooms, beverages and light snacks. Dogfish Head Beer and chicken barbeque provided.

Sag Wagon* support available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for injured or broken down cyclists. All participants must complete an event waiver prior to participating in the ride. Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the route and must wear a helmet.

The ride will take place rain or shine. However, if extreme weather is forecasted, the Bike Tour may be cancelled. No refunds will be given for any reason.

After Party will be located at Janosik Park at the Broad Creek Water. Food, Beer, water and soft drinks will be available.

Tour de Frederick

For cycling enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, the Tour de Frederick features unique ride routes that showcase the beauty of Frederick County, emphasize its rich history and fosters camaraderie among the riders. The ride is Aug 12-13 and begins at the Walkersville Fire Hall on August 12 wtih 10, 35, 62, and 100 mile routes and end with an awesome Finish Line Party. Sunday offers the History ride in downtown Frederick.

This event has been going on for over 2 decades plus. The Mother of them all. A MUST for the serious cyclist. Register at the website more than a week in advance. No day of registration.

The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic (formerly Covered Bridge Metric Century) will be held August 20, 2017 in Lancaster, PA. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 62 miles, 31 miles, and 15 miles. The 100 mile route option, which offers challenging climbing, is new for 2017. Each route traverses through covered bridges and past Amish farms. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Lancaster Bicycle Club's grant program which has donated over $275,000 for bike-related initiatives and covered bridge preservation since 1999.
