The 6th Annual 2017 Broadcreek Bike and Brew

Laurel, Delaware

June 3, 2017 (Saturday)

All routes start and end in Laurel Delaware. Choose from a 15-mile, 25-mile, 50-mile, Metric or Century route. Completion of the ride is optional. Designated rest stops with restrooms, beverages and light snacks. Dogfish Head Beer and chicken barbeque provided.

Sag Wagon* support available from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for injured or broken down cyclists. All participants must complete an event waiver prior to participating in the ride. Participants 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times on the route and must wear a helmet.

The ride will take place rain or shine. However, if extreme weather is forecasted, the Bike Tour may be cancelled. No refunds will be given for any reason.

After Party will be located at Janosik Park at the Broad Creek Water. Food, Beer, water and soft drinks will be available.

On your quiet adventure you will wind through scenic byways and along historic waterways as you explore what makes our community so unique. We've tied in some of the best historic attractions such as The Laurel Heritage Museum, The Cook House, Historic Bethel, Bethel Museum, and Old Christ Church to name a few. Along the way enjoy important waterways that make up a portion of the Chesapeake Watershed , the Nanticoke River Trail, Mason Dixon In Delmar, and The Sussex County Historic and Scenic Byway. Of course, the ride would not be complete without a stop at our true gem- Trap Pond State Park.

Revel in our relaxed beauty tucked between the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This land between two waters is sprinkled with quaint towns of picturesque streets lined with historic homes, museums, art galleries and shops. The countryside features miles of farmland as well as country roads.

5 routes: 100 mile (begins 7am), 100k (begins 8am), 50k (begins 9am), 25k (begins 9:30 am), and/or Friday Night Fun Ride (15-18 miles)

Designated rest stops with restrooms, beverages and snacks. BBQ chicken lunch is included from 12:00-2:00 pm at the Onancock Town Square. Vegetarian options are available.

Catoctin Challenge

This year the Catoctin Challenge is pleased to be raising funds for The League at Camp Greentop.

The League for People with Disabilities' Camp Greentop provides a summer camp, located in Frederick County Maryland, for youth and adults with disabilities such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome and traumatic brain injury.

The Catoctin Challenge provides cyclists with great food, entertainment, ice cold adult and other beverages, and surprise entertainment. This is a you-don't-want-to-miss great bicycle ride.

We limit our participants to 100 riders so that we can treat them right! No long lines, no hassle registration - just a great scenic and challenging route, fabulous entertainment, and delicious food.

The rides begin in Frederick or Thurmont, Maryland, depending on your route and will lead you through the Catoctin mountains and into the Lodge in Blue Ridge Summit, PA. You spend the night, have fun, and cycle back to Frederick the next day.

You have a variety of routes to choose from - and we have something for all levels of riders.

For cycling enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels, the Tour de Frederick features unique ride routes that showcase the beauty of Frederick County, emphasize its rich history and fosters camaraderie among the riders. The ride is Aug 12-13 and begins at the Walkersville Fire Hall on August 12 wtih 10, 35, 62, and 100 mile routes and end with an awesome Finish Line Party. Sunday offers the History ride in downtown Frederick.

The NightMare Tour

This ride goes around the perimeter of scenic Lancaster and part of Berks counties in Pennsylvania. The ride distances are 111, 177, 200, 225 miles and 24 hrs. with 8900 to 22,000 ft of climb. This event has been going on for over 2 decades plus. The Mother of them all. A MUST for the serious cyclist. Register at the website more than a week in advance. No day of registration.

The Lancaster Covered Bridge Classic (formerly Covered Bridge Metric Century) will be held August 20, 2017 in Lancaster, PA. It offers beautiful routes of 100 miles, 62 miles, 31 miles, and 15 miles. The 100 mile route option, which offers challenging climbing, is new for 2017. Each route traverses through covered bridges and past Amish farms. Proceeds from the ride benefit the Lancaster Bicycle Club's grant program which has donated over $275,000 for bike-related initiatives and covered bridge preservation since 1999.

The Lifeline100 at Kinder Farm Park in Millersville, MD offers a unique organized ride experience for cyclists of all ages and abilities with scenic 100 and 65 mile routes on road and paved trail; and 30 and 15 mile routes on paved trail only.

The 30 and 65 mile routes also have some options to shorten or lengthen your ride depending on how you feel that day! The 100 and 65 mile routes wind throughout scenic Anne Arundel County including views of downtown Annapolis,historic State House, Severn River, Chesapeake Bay, rural southern Anne Arundel County, BWI/Marshall airport and more!
