RABA Central- UCI World Cycling VIP Viewing, Sept 24-27

RABACentralThe UCI World Cycling event is scheduled to take place from September 19th through the 27th in Richmond. One of the routes will pass through historic Church Hill and will include the cobble stone climb up the side of Libby Hill Park and the 23rd Street ascent up Taylor’s Hill between Franklin and Grace Streets.

RABA Member John Johnson (J.J.) has generously offered to provide his historic Church Hill home (2520 East Franklin Street – Anthony Turner House) as RABA Central from Thursday, September 24th through Sunday, September 27th. RABA members are being offered the exclusive opportunity to attend and view the event from this premier location. It’s only one block from Libby Hill Park and three blocks from the 23rd Street climb!

As a RABA V.I.P. you will be able to ride your bike to the location where it will be checked and secured and enjoy lunch with other club members while viewing world class cyclists from the front porch, sidewalk along Franklin Street, or the big screen TV after the peloton passes the house.  Or you could use RABA Central as your home base during the races and walk to nearby viewing points – it’s up to you.  Keep in mind that this part of the City will be crowded with tourists and cycling enthusiasts from around the world.  Libbie Hill Park will be popular as a highly sought after observation point and the location for UCI V.I.P. tents where passes cost $500.00 per person.  Don’t miss out on this rare opportunity to watch riders from across the globe compete in our own City.  All proceeds will help support the Bikes for Kids initiative.
