May 3 (Saturday) Chesterfield Bike MS / Storming Thunder Ridge Training Ride
Pace Time Miles Terrain Stops Leader
A++ 8:30 am 71 3 Two Roger Skeen, rls0716@hotmail.com, 804-358-6537
A+ thru B- 8:30 am 57 3 One or Two Roger Skeen, rls0716@hotmail.com, 804-358-6537
Note: Contact Roger if you would like to lead a particular pace for either the 71 or 57 mile routes.

Description: This ride is designed as a training ride for those preparing for the upcoming Storming Thunder Ridge on May 18 and Bike MS Colonial Crossroads 150 (miles) on May 31/June 1. But the ride is open to all! On the 71-mile route, there will be a well-stocked rest station full of tasty foods prepared by RABA members and other volunteers -and- a convenience store stop to help fuel your ride. The ride begins with slow speed zones in the Woodlake and Magnolia Green neighborhoods before crossing over Hull Street and heading south towards Mannboro. There are two southern loops that offer ideal cycling conditions with very low motor vehicle traffic. On ride day you'll likely see more cyclists than cars along the southern portion of this route, so come out and enjoy a long training ride with a group of friends.

Note: There is a shorter route, 57 miles, if riders skip the southeastern loop. As noted above, Roger is looking for pace leaders for the 57-mile loop. If interested, please contact Roger at rls0716@hotmail.com.

Afterwards, we hope you'll join us at Sand Dollar Beach Kitchen where there is indoor and outdoor seating for food and drinks. Sand Dollar Beach Kitchen is a very short bikeable or driving distance from Cosby High School.
