Description: Please join
us for a great ride through western Hanover, Goochland, and eastern Louisa. We leave
from what is popularly referred to as the "Rockville Little League Fields". Cue sheets

slower riders attend. The ride varies weekly and on the day before each ride, Dee or Dick sends out a message on RABA Message Board announcing the distance and other
particulars of the ride.

off of I-64. Go right at the top of the ramp onto Route 623 toward Ashland. Turn left

| Tuesday | Hanover Courthouse After Work Ride (Note: Ride starts March 10) |

| A+ to A++ | See below | Varies | 3 | None | Greg Johns, 804-241-7623, g.s.johns@verizon.net |
Starting Times: March 10 and March 17- 5:30
pm; March 24 and March 31- 5:45 pm.
Description: The route varies from week to week
with routes with multiple mileage options starting and ending at the Hanover Government
Center (i.e., Hanover Courthouse) parking lot. The slower pace groups will ride
one of the shorter options and the faster pace groups will ride one of the longer
options so that everyone finishes around the same time. The pace group leaders will
announce the mileage for their group at the ride start. The pace groups will be
spaced out at the ride start to avoid large groups of cyclists on the road.
Important Safety Note: This ride is often very well attended which
creates the potential for large pace groups. Large pace groups tend to yo-yo increasing
the likelihood of wheel bumps. Also, large pace groups are frustrating to motorists
trying to get home from work on curvy country roads. That can result in frustrated
drivers passing in an unsafe manner. Consequently, the ride leaders may group riders
into smaller groups at the ride start in order to minimize large pace groups. Please
cooperate with the ride leaders if they ask you to break into a smaller group. Also,
do not regroup at stops if that will result in a large pace group. Pace groups should
be no larger than 6 to 10 riders. Groups of less than 6 are preferred. The pace
groups are spaced out at the ride start to avoid large groups of cyclists on the
road.
The routes for this month are:
| Date | Route |
| March 10 | Dabneys Mill Options- 21, 22, 28 or 33 mile options and GPX files. |
| March 17 | Edgars Lollipop Options- 24, 26 or 32 mile options. |

| March 31 | Mt. Gideon Options- 19, 24, 31 or 36 mile options and GPX files. |
Paper cue sheets are not provided. You should print your own cue
sheet prior to coming to the ride.
New members and those just getting started (or re-started) with cycling are encouraged
to come out.
Directions: The ride starts and finishes at the Hanover County
Government Complex (7497 County Complex Road, Hanover, VA 23069) on US Route 301
just south of the intersection of Routes 54 and 301.

| Saturday | Chesterfield County Saturday Ride |
| Pace | Time | Miles | Terrain | Stops | Leader |
| A (B+ check ahead) | 10 am | Various | 3 | Various | Coordinator: Roger Skeen, rls0716@hotmail.com, call/text 804.358.6537 |
Description: This Saturday morning weekly ride
begins and ends in the Publix grocery store parking lot located at 7200 Cosby Village
Road, Chesterfield, VA 23832. Rides will vary in length between 30 and 60 miles
depending on the season. Throughout most of the year we begin the rides at 8:30
a.m. but adjust the starting time to 8 a.m. during the months of July and August and 9 am in the winter.
Routes vary on a weekly basis and details including a link to a download for a Ride
with GPS turn-by-turn map will be posted on the club’s message board a day or two
in advance. Non-members are encouraged but not required to contact the ride leader
in advance as we’ll gladly forward the route and answer any questions. Most, but
not all, routes will have a store stop for refueling. Please don’t be shy about
reaching out for more information. We want you to ride with us!
Most routes feature long stretches of quiet roads in the western and southern parts
of Chesterfield County. We often combine the neighborhoods of Magnolia Green, Woodlake,
Harpers Mill, and Hampton Park taking advantage of reduced vehicle speeds and additional
lanes allowing for traffic to easily pass. All rides will have an A pace ride leader,
and many are planned to have a B+ leader (when available-please check with the ride
leader in advance). Others are always welcome to attend. We’ll try our best to match
you with similar riders, but you are also free to ride your own pace. It is our
goal to expand the pace groups to include as many cyclists as possible so check
the calendar and message board often for the latest updates.
Parking: Out of respect for the local businesses we ask that you
park in the spaces farthest from the grocery store and near the dumpsters as you
face the entrance to Publix. These are the dumpsters located between the grocery
store and Autozone in the corner near Sand Dollar Beach Kitchen. When you arrive,
you'll see a row of parking spaces running parallel to Hull Street with dumpsters
at one end. Let's park and meet there.
While this is not intended to be a no drop ride leaders will do their best to match
riders of similar abilities. We can regroup at intersections if necessary.
