Bikes for Kids Assembly- Nov. 2, 2019

The first Saturday in November is always the day when we get together to assemble the bikes for the Bikes for Kids program so they can be delivered to the area Christmas Mothers for distribution to the kids who will be receiving them. This year, because we don’t have access to the EnTrust warehouse we have been fortunate to be able to use for the last few years, we’re going to be doing it a little differently. See the details below.

  • Our warehouse partner is new this year and very supportive of Bikes for Kids:  Richmond Community Toolbank
  • However, the space is smaller, so Kim working to make the assembly more operationally efficient, including the possibility of work shifts or specific task assignments
  • We will again the ability to purchase pizza and a drink for $5; coffee and some snacks will be provided
  • If you did not receive a confirmation email after you registered, that means your registration did not go through, please register again!
  • All volunteers will be recognized and invited to the volunteer social on 11/11 at Answer Brewpub
  • It is important that you register so that Andrew Mann and Kim know the headcount and can coordinate / organize accordingly.  While we welcome walk-ups, because the space is smaller and there is more work on the front end to get this effort organized, PLEASE REGISTER, thank you!

This is one of the more important volunteer calls of the year (the Heart of Virginia is the other) – THANK YOU TO EVERYONE, past and present, for helping us make this such an important expression of support to the communities in which we live!
